Description

There's something about a blued steel revolver with brass and walnut that a polymer pistol just can't touch. The Henry H16 Golden Boy Deadeye brings the same look and feel as Henry's famous Golden Boy lever guns into a traditional double action revolver, with a deeply blued medium size steel frame, a polished brass backstrap and trigger guard, and genuine American walnut birdshead grip panels. It chambers 22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, and the 10 round cylinder means fewer reloads and more time punching paper or ringing steel.

What Makes the Deadeye Different

The original Golden Boy revolver used a fixed notch rear sight cut into the frame. The Deadeye version answers the request Henry heard over and over by swapping in a fully adjustable square notch rear sight with screw adjustments for both windage and elevation, paired with a ramped fiber optic bead up front that grabs light and your eye. That setup makes a real difference when you're stretching shots out to 25 yards and beyond, whether you're chasing tighter groups or teaching a new shooter what a proper sight picture looks like.

A Golden Boy Deadeye That Earns Range Time

The 4 inch round blued steel barrel carries a 1:16 twist, and at roughly 36 ounces with a 9 inch overall length, this revolver sits in the same size class as classic medium frame wheelguns. That weight soaks up what little recoil a 22 produces, so long range sessions stay comfortable from the first cylinder to the last. Hand fitted internals give it a smooth, consistent double action pull and a clean single action break, and a transfer bar safety rounds out the package.

Pairs Right Up With Your Golden Boy Rifle

If you already own a Golden Boy lever action, this is the matching sidearm the collection has been waiting on. Same brass, same blued steel, same walnut, same cheap-to-feed rimfire chambering. Few things beat an afternoon of plinking with a matched rifle and revolver combo, and this one looks as good on the bench as it shoots.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Golden Boy Deadeye and the standard Golden Boy revolver?

The sights. The standard H16 uses a fixed notch rear sight cut into the frame with interchangeable front blades, while the Deadeye upgrades to a fully adjustable square notch rear sight with windage and elevation screws plus a fiber optic bead front sight. Everything else, including the blued steel frame, brass accents, and walnut grips, carries over from the original.

Can the Henry Golden Boy Deadeye shoot 22 Short and 22 Long, or just 22 LR?

It runs all three. The cylinder is chambered for 22 Short, 22 Long, and 22 Long Rifle, so you can feed it whatever rimfire ammo you have on hand. That flexibility makes it a great trainer, since quiet 22 Shorts are ideal for introducing new folks to handgun shooting.

How big is this revolver? Is it a small frame gun?

No, it's a medium frame, all steel revolver in the same general size and weight class as a Ruger GP100 or Smith & Wesson K-Frame. It weighs about 36 ounces with a 9 inch overall length. That heft is a plus in a rimfire, since the gun barely moves when you fire it and stays comfortable through long range sessions.

Does the Golden Boy Deadeye match the Golden Boy lever action rifles?

That's exactly the idea. It uses the same deeply blued steel, polished brass backstrap and trigger guard, and American walnut furniture as Henry's Golden Boy rimfire rifles. Paired together they make a sharp looking rifle and revolver combo chambered in the same inexpensive 22 rimfire.
