The Henry Big Boy Mare's Leg is that idea done right, built in the USA with the same fit and finish Henry puts into its full size rifles. You get a 12.9 inch octagon blued steel barrel, a polished hardened brass receiver that catches the light just so, and select American walnut furniture capped with a brass buttplate. At 25 inches overall and about 5.79 pounds, it holsters like a pistol but cycles with all the speed of a lever action.
The large loop lever is the star of the show here, and paired with Henry's famously crisp action it makes fast follow-up shots feel natural. Chambered in .45 Colt with a five round tubular magazine, it feeds that classic big bore cartridge smoothly whether you're plinking steel, punching paper, or shooting cowboy action matches. Sights are a brass bead up front and a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with a diamond insert, a setup that looks period correct and dials in nicely once you spend a little time with it. A transfer bar safety rounds out the package.

No. This gun is chambered strictly for .45 Colt, and the chamber and bore are not designed to handle .410 shells. Firearms that shoot both cartridges are purpose built with different chambers and bores, so stick with quality .45 Colt ammunition in this one.
