Description

The Homesteader has been one of Henry's most talked-about rifles since it launched, and this M-LOK version in brushed bronze Cerakote might be the best-looking take on it yet. You get the warmth of textured American walnut furniture wrapped around a receiver and 18.66 inch barrel coated in a ceramic-based finish that shrugs off moisture, scratches, and hard use. It is the kind of gun that draws compliments at the range but was clearly built to ride in a truck or stand watch by the back door.

What Makes the Homesteader M-LOK Different

The simple blowback action feeds from Henry's own magazines, and this model includes both a 5 rounder and a 10 rounder in the box. Even better, Henry throws in a Glock magazine well adapter, so if you already run Glock pistols you can share mags between your carbine and your sidearm. When the last round goes downrange, the bolt locks open so you know it is time to reload. A reciprocating mass inside the forearm tames what little recoil 9mm produces, and the soft rubber buttpad keeps things comfortable through long range sessions. At 6.7 pounds and just over 38 inches overall, it shoulders quick and handles easily in tight spaces.

Sights, Optics, and Accessories on the Bronze Homesteader

Out of the box you get an adjustable aperture rear sight paired with a screw-on front post, which gives you a much longer sight radius than any pistol. Prefer a red dot or a low-power scope? The receiver is drilled and tapped for a Weaver 63B base. The M-LOK slots up front handle a light or hand stop, and sling swivel studs are already installed. Controls stay friendly for lefties too, with an ambidextrous bolt handle and a top-mounted thumb safety.

Like every Henry, this one is made in America and backed by the company's lifetime warranty. For home defense, small game, plinking, or just having a pistol-caliber carbine that does not look like everything else on the rack, the bronze Homesteader is a genuinely satisfying rifle to own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Henry Homesteader M-LOK accept Glock magazines?

Yes, this model ships with a Glock magazine well adapter in the box, along with 5 and 10 round Henry magazines that fit the standard Henry mag well. Swap the adapter in and you can run the same double-stack Glock mags as your pistol. Adapters for other pistol magazine patterns are sold separately by Henry.

Can I mount a red dot or scope on the Homesteader M-LOK?

You can. The receiver comes drilled and tapped for a Weaver 63B base, so adding a red dot or a compact scope is a quick job. Until then, the adjustable aperture rear sight and screw-on front post work well for most practical distances with 9mm.

Is the barrel on this bronze Homesteader threaded for a suppressor?

No, this particular version (model H027C1N-H9G) has a non-threaded 18.66 inch barrel. Henry does make threaded-barrel Homesteader variants if a suppressor is part of your plans, so double check the model number before buying if that matters to you.

What is the Henry Homesteader 9mm best suited for?

It is a genuine do-it-all pistol caliber carbine. The light recoil, 6.7 pound weight, and quick-handling size make it a great fit for home defense, small game, and relaxed range days, while cheap 9mm ammo keeps practice affordable. The Cerakote finish also means it holds up well as a truck or ranch gun.
