The Steel version of the Big Boy trims roughly a pound and a half compared to its brass-framed cousin, which you'll appreciate by the end of a long day still-hunting or hiking into a stand. The 16.5 inch round blued barrel keeps overall length at a compact 34 inches, making this thing a natural in thick brush, a truck cab, or a scabbard. The large loop lever cycles easily with gloves on and adds a little classic character while it's at it.
