The Big Boy Deadeye takes the standard Big Boy Revolver and gives it a proper sighting upgrade, swapping in a ramped fiber bead front sight and a fully adjustable rear. A lot of traditional-style revolvers ask you to live with fixed sights and file-to-fit adjustments. Not here. The adjustable rear sight and bright fiber bead up front make this a genuinely practical target revolver dressed in 1870s clothing. The birdshead grip sits compact in the hand but still fills your palm, letting you take a nice high hold for double-action work. Underneath the classic looks are modern touches too, including a transfer bar safety and a smooth double action/single action trigger with a crisp single-action break for careful shot placement.
The 4-inch round blued steel barrel carries a 1:16 twist, overall length comes in at a handy 9 inches, and the whole package weighs 34 ounces. That's enough steel to soak up magnum recoil without turning into a boat anchor on your belt, and the six-round cylinder swings out for quick reloads.

Yes. Like any revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, it safely fires .38 Special as well since the cases share the same diameter. That gives you cheap, soft-shooting practice ammo for range days and full-power magnum loads when you want them. The adjustable rear sight makes it easy to re-zero when you switch between loads.
The Deadeye is built on the same steel frame and shares the Big Boy Revolver's smooth double action, but it upgrades the sighting system. You get a ramped fiber bead front sight paired with a fully adjustable rear sight instead of fixed sights, which makes it a much better fit for target work and load tuning. Everything else, including the walnut grips and blued finish, keeps that classic Henry character.
The birdshead grip is compact but fills the hand better than you'd expect, and it allows a high grip that helps with double-action shooting. At 34 ounces, the all-steel construction does a lot of the work soaking up magnum recoil. If you have larger hands or shoot heavy loads all day, Henry also offers this model with a squared Gunfighter-style grip, but most folks find the birdshead plenty manageable.
