The Hawke Vantage IR 4-12x40mm riflescope is purpose-built for .17 HMR with an illuminated Red/Green Rimfire 17 HMR BDC reticle. The reticle features bullet drop compensating aim points calculated for .17 HMR, with etched distance markings intended for use at maximum magnification. The scope is easy to zero and provides illuminated aim points for a wide range of lighting conditions. At 12x magnification a 100-yard zero aligns the BDC aim points in 25-yard increments out to 375 yards for 17gr ammunition at approximately 2550–2650 fps, and the reticle can be calibrated for 20gr ammunition as required.
