The Guard Dog Sheppard is a full-featured plate carrier that gives you a ready-to-run platform right out of the box. It takes standard 10"x12" ballistic plates front and rear, and the detachable waistbands hold side plates sized 6"x6" or 6"x8" for extra coverage where you need it. Built from water-resistant 600D Oxford fabric, it is made to shrug off abuse and keep working whether you are training, running drills, or kitting up for duty.
Where a lot of bare-bones carriers leave you buying pouches separately, the Sheppard shows up loaded. You get five AR-15 magazine pouches, three up front and two on the side waists, plus three pistol magazine pouches near the top of the front panel. Every pouch uses an adjustable retention bungee so your mags stay put but pull free when you want them. The front triple rifle insert is removable too, so you can strip it off and run the bare MOLLE field underneath for a different loadout.
The shoulder yoke is heavily padded to spread weight across your shoulders, and the straps along with the elastic waistband adjust to fit body types from small up to 2XL. When it is time to come off fast, the metal quick-detach clips on the shoulders and the polymer Swift Clips at the waist let the whole rig drop free. An extended grab-and-drag handle on the back gives a solid grip for pulling someone out of a bad spot.
MOLLE webbing wraps every side of the carrier, including the front of the mag pouches, so you can add, move, or swap gear however your setup demands. Around back you get a larger lower admin pouch and a smaller upper pouch, both handy for stashing a medical kit or extra gear. It is a practical, flexible platform for anyone who wants plate protection and organized storage in one package.
The Sheppard is built for standard 10"x12" ballistic plates in both the front and rear pockets. Each detachable waistband also has a side plate pouch that fits 6"x8" plates, and smaller 6"x6" plates work in there as well. Keep in mind the carrier is sold on its own and does not come with armor plates.
Yes, it arrives loaded. You get five AR-15 magazine pouches, three on the front and two on the side waists, plus three pistol magazine pouches up top. All of them use adjustable retention bungees, and the front triple rifle insert is removable if you want to run a different setup.
The shoulder straps use heavy-duty metal quick-detach clips, and the waist uses polymer Swift Clips. Pop both and the carrier drops free and out of the way, which is useful in an emergency. There is also an extended grab-and-drag handle on the back for rapid extraction.
It is designed to adjust across a wide range, fitting users from small up to 2XL. The shoulder straps and elastic waistband let you dial in the tension for a secure fit without losing mobility. The padded shoulder yoke helps spread the load so it rides comfortably even when fully kitted.
