The GSG-16 is German Sport Guns' take on an MP5-inspired tactical carbine, chambered in .22 LR and built to be as fun to shoot as it looks. It replaced the earlier GSG 522 and brought some real upgrades along with it, including a more refined handguard setup, updated sights, and better overall ergonomics. The result is a rifle that looks the part and actually backs it up on the range.
The flat dark earth polymer receiver keeps the weight down to right around 5.84 lbs, and the collapsible stock adjusts the overall length between 28.5 and 34.25 inches so it fits a wide range of shooters. That stock also hides a built-in magazine storage compartment in the buttstock, which is a genuinely useful feature rather than just a gimmick. The forend runs Picatinny rails layered over an M-LOK handguard, giving you the flexibility to run accessories as-is or swap out the rail sections for direct M-LOK attachments. The barrel is 16.25 inches with 6-groove rifling, capped with a faux suppressor that adds to the tactical look and adds a bit of front-end balance.

The 10-round magazine is compatible with other GSG-5 and GSG-522 stick and rotary magazines, so finding extra mags is straightforward. This particular FDE model pairs the tan polymer receiver with a black collapsible stock and black barrel finish for a sharp two-tone look that stands out from the crowd.
