The 10mm Auto has been having a well-earned comeback, and the Stribog SP10A3 is one of the best homes for it. Grand Power took their Slovak-built Stribog, the same platform that earned a reputation as one of the most reliable pistol caliber guns on the market, and chambered it for a round that delivers near .357 Magnum energy from a rimless, high-capacity cartridge. The secret sauce is the roller-delayed blowback system, which soaks up the 10mm's bite so well that most people who run one say the recoil feels barely different from a 9mm sub gun. Follow-up shots stay fast, the dot settles quickly, and you get all that extra energy without paying for it at the shoulder.
This A3 generation fixes the wish list from earlier Stribogs. The charging handle is non-reciprocating and swaps sides without tools, every control is fully ambidextrous, and the trigger pocket accepts AR-15 pattern triggers, so upgrading to your favorite drop-in unit is simple. The 8-inch button-rifled barrel comes threaded 9/16×24 with a protector installed, and running a can on this thing is a treat since the 10mm cartridge suppresses surprisingly well out of a barrel this length. Feeding comes from straight-walled 20-round UMP-pattern magazines, and the 10mm's case geometry runs beautifully in that straight stack.
The aluminum upper wears a full-length Picatinny rail up top with flip-up backup sights already mounted, plus a bottom rail and M-LOK slots at 3 and 9 o'clock for lights and hand stops. A rear interface and QD sling sockets round out the mounting options. Whether you want a compact trail companion with real thump, a range gun that hits harder than the usual 9mm fare, or a home setup with 20+1 rounds of serious ballistics on tap, the SP10A3 delivers the goods with the rugged reliability the Stribog name is known for.
Better than you'd expect. The roller-delayed blowback system slows the bolt and spreads the recoil impulse out, so the felt difference between this and a 9mm sub gun is surprisingly small. It feeds from Grand Power's 20-round UMP-pattern polymer magazines built for the 10mm Stribog. The straight-walled 10mm case runs great in a straight-stack magazine, and reliability with these mags has been a consistent strong point. Three come in the box, so you're set from day one.
Yes. The 8-inch barrel is threaded 9/16×24 and ships with a thread protector installed, so mounting a can with the right thread pitch or an adapter is straightforward. The 10mm suppresses nicely out of this barrel length, and the roller-delayed action keeps the gun pleasant to run with a silencer attached.
You can, and it's one of the best features of the A3 generation. The trigger pocket is designed around AR-15 pattern fire control groups, so most drop-in AR triggers will work. The factory mil-spec trigger is perfectly serviceable, but the upgrade path is wide open if you want something crisper.
