The G45 has been one of the smartest ideas to come out of Glock in years. Take the full-size frame of a G17 so you get a complete grip and 17+1 of 9mm on board, then top it with the shorter G19-length slide so the whole package balances well and clears a holster fast. The V-Series is the newest evolution of that crossover, keeping everything people liked about the Gen5 guns, including the Marksman barrel, front and rear slide serrations, and reversible mag release, while adding a redesigned internal setup. One thing worth knowing: V-Series internals are not cross-compatible with earlier generations, so this is its own platform, not just a Gen5 with a new roll mark.
This particular build takes the standard G45 V and upgrades it with a custom optic-ready slide milled with an RMR-pattern cut, finished in black Cerakote for extra wear and corrosion resistance. Sitting in that cut is a Viridian RFX35, a green dot that has earned a real following as a big-window optic without the big-window price tag. You get a crisp 3 MOA green dot, a generous 22x26mm rounded viewing window, eight daylight brightness settings plus two night vision settings, and a 6061-T6 aluminum housing that weighs right around one ounce. Battery life runs 30,000+ hours on a CR2032, and the Instant-On feature means the dot is awake the moment you need it.
Green dots tend to stand out better than red across a wide range of lighting, and the RFX35's large rounded window makes finding the dot on the draw noticeably easier, which matters whether this gun rides on your hip or lives in the nightstand. Glock ships this one with three 17-round magazines, so you have a full loadout from day one. Duty-grade reliability, a proven crossover layout, and a quality green dot already in place. Not much left to do here except pick up ammo and go zero it.

You will still want to zero the optic to your preferred ammo at the range before relying on it. The green 3 MOA dot runs on a common CR2032 battery with 30,000+ hours of runtime at medium brightness.
The frame and slide dimensions match a standard G45, so most G45 and G19X pattern holsters will accept the gun itself. That said, you will need a holster that is either optic-cut or open at the top to clear the mounted RFX35. Plenty of kydex makers offer G45 holsters with red dot clearance, so options are easy to find.
Yes. The slide is milled with a standard RMR-pattern footprint, so optics that share that footprint, like the Trijicon RMR and SRO or Holosun 507C, can be mounted directly. That gives you room to change setups down the road without sending the slide off for new machining.
