What Glock built here is what they call a crossover pistol, taking the full-size grip frame of the G17 and mating it to the shorter, more compact slide and 4.02-inch barrel of the G19. The result is a gun that gives you 17+1 rounds of 9mm capacity with excellent control and a shorter overall length than a full-size G17.
