A Smarter Optic Ready System on the Gen 6

Every Gen 6 comes optics ready out of the box, and this ORS setup is a real step forward from the old MOS plates. Three included adapter plates let you mount RMR-footprint red dots by screwing them directly into the slide, and the plates seat the optic lower for a bore axis that feels closer to irons. Fixed sights are installed from the factory, so it runs great right out of the case if you're not ready for a dot yet. Deeper, angled slide serrations make press checks and reloads easy even with sweaty or gloved hands.

What Carries Over on the Glock 19 Gen 6

The important stuff stayed put. It's still a striker fired 9mm with a 4.02 inch barrel, 15-round capacity, and the Safe Action system with its three passive safeties. Your older double-stack G19 magazines from previous generations still feed it just fine, and most Gen 5 holsters and accessories transfer over. The flat-faced trigger gives you a consistent index point without changing the pull weight you already know.

With three factory 15-round magazines in the box instead of the usual two, this package is set up for carry, home defense, or regular range work without needing a single add-on. It's the pistol everyone measures compacts against, just noticeably better in the hand.
