Description
Most AR pistols are a familiar recipe with a shorter barrel. The Global Ordnance Monolith 15P takes a different path. There is no buffer tube at all. The recoil system lives up in the receiver, which is why the SB Tactical FS1913 brace folds flat against the gun and it will still cycle and fire that way. Folded, the whole package measures right around 20.5 inches, which makes it one of the easiest 5.56 platforms to stash in a pack or behind a truck seat.
The Mono Barrel That Gives the Monolith Its Name
The heart of this pistol is a 12.5 inch barrel machined from a single piece of 41V50 ordnance grade steel. The barrel extension, gas block, and Dead Air KeyMo muzzle brake are all part of that same piece of steel, so there is no pinning, no welding, and nothing to work loose. The 45 degree gas port and refined gas flow were designed with suppressor use in mind, and the KeyMo mount means Dead Air cans thread straight on with proper concentricity. The barrel extension is oversized to AR-10 dimensions and paired with a beefed up bolt, with an S7 tool steel cam pin and nickel boron coated firing pin backing it up.
Monolith 15P Controls and Ergonomics
Global Ordnance built this thing to run from either shoulder. The safety, magazine release, and bolt release are all ambidextrous, including a clever patented bolt release you can drop by pressing the ejection port cover. The charging handle is a folding forward side design that stays out of your optic's way, and a B5 Systems P-Grip 23 rounds out the furniture. The M-LOK handguard interlocks with the upper receiver for added rigidity, and the 1913 rail on the rear of the receiver means you can swap the included brace for any 1913 pattern accessory you like.
At roughly 5 pounds 3 ounces with the brace and a 30+1 capacity from standard AR-15 magazines, the Monolith 15P is a legitimately fresh take on a platform that has not changed much in decades, and it uses over a dozen fewer parts doing it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Global Ordnance Monolith 15P fire with the brace folded?
Yes. Because the Monolith uses a bufferless operating system with the recoil assembly housed in the upper receiver, there is no buffer tube for the bolt to travel into. That means the FS1913 brace can fold completely flat against the gun and it will still cycle and fire normally.
Is the Monolith 15P a good suppressor host?
It was practically built for it. The integrated Dead Air KeyMo brake accepts KeyMo compatible suppressors directly, and since the mount is machined as part of the barrel, alignment and concentricity are as good as it gets. The 45 degree gas port and refined gas flow are also tuned specifically to run well suppressed.
Does the Monolith 15P use standard AR-15 magazines?
Yes, it feeds from standard AR-15 pattern magazines and ships with one 30 rounder. Your existing PMAGs, aluminum GI mags, and other STANAG pattern magazines will drop right in.
Can I remove the KeyMo brake and run a different muzzle device?
No, and that is by design. The brake is machined as part of the one-piece mono barrel along with the gas block and barrel extension, so it is not removable. If you want a standard threaded muzzle, Global Ordnance offers separate threaded barrel versions of the Monolith with an A2 flash hider.
