It's cut to safely run both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO while holding tighter tolerances than a standard 5.56 chamber, so you get better accuracy out of whatever ammo you feed it. The 1:8 twist stabilizes everything from lightweight varmint loads up to heavier 77 grain match bullets. The muzzle comes threaded 1/2×28 with a brake installed, and the carbine length gas system with a .750 low profile gas block keeps things running smoothly. Owners consistently report tight groups right out of the box, and plenty of folks have put this rifle to work on hogs and coyotes well past 300 yards.
The upper and lower are machined from 7075 aluminum, and the barrel is wrapped in a 15 inch M-LOK aluminum handguard with a full length Picatinny top rail. There are no sights included, so the flat top is a blank canvas for a red dot, LPVO, or magnifier combo, with plenty of M-LOK real estate for lights, hand stops, and sling mounts. A six position collapsible stock, mil-spec polymer grip, and a trigger in the 5.5 to 6 pound range round out the package, and one 30 round magazine ships in the box.
