The Magpul Zhukov handguard earned its reputation on AK-platform rifles, and GG&G took that same design and reworked it to drop right onto the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol 12 gauge. What you get is the comfortable, contoured feel of the Zhukov combined with a fit that respects the dimensions of the A300, so your support hand lands in a natural, controllable position whether you are running the gun fast or holding steady on a target.
The body is Magpul's reinforced polymer with a textured surface that stays planted in the hand, gloves or not. Inside the forward section sits a stainless steel heat shield that helps knock down the heat coming off the barrel during a long string of shells. The whole unit tips the scales at right around 7.25 ounces, so you are not adding a bunch of dead weight up front.
GG&G built an aluminum nose cone adapter that matches the contour lines of the shotgun, so the transition looks clean and intentional rather than bolted-on. A small steel spring plunger, a Vlier unit, seats into the factory magazine tube cap for positive engagement. This handguard is adapted specifically for the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol shotgun. It is not built for the 1301 or other Beretta models, so make sure your gun is the A300 Ultima Patrol before ordering. GG&G offers a separate Zhukov handguard for the 1301 if that is what you have.
