The ALG AK Trigger Enhanced with Lightning Bow, better known as the AKT-EL, is one of the easiest ways to wake up a tired factory AK trigger. It's a single-stage unit built for AK-47 and AK-74 variant platforms, and the whole point is a pull that feels smoother and shorter than the gritty stock trigger most Kalashnikovs ship with. Plenty of folks who dropped one in report going from a heavy, mushy factory break down into the two to three pound range, which is a real difference you feel on every shot.
The standout piece here is the Lightning Bow, a curved trigger face shaped to sit more comfortably against your finger while giving you better control through the press. It's machined from gun-quality alloy steel and wears a manganese phosphate finish, so it holds up to corrosion and the kind of abuse an AK expects to see. This is the Enhanced model, which sits a step below the Ultimate (AKT-UL) in the ALG lineup, so you get a clean, reliable upgrade at a friendlier entry point.
ALG designed this trigger family to work with most AK variants without fitting, but AK receivers vary a lot from factory to factory, so it pays to check before you install. If your rifle uses an anti-slap rivet at the rear of the trigger guard, that rivet needs to be no taller than 0.062 inches for proper disconnector clearance. Rifles with a taller rivet will need it shaved down, and a lot of builders find the install goes smoother with a little patience or a trip to a gunsmith. Worth knowing up front: the AKT-EL is not made for 12 gauge or the .308 / 7.62x54r variants.

It's designed for standard AK-47 and AK-74 variant platforms. It is not compatible with 12 gauge variants or the .308 / 7.62x54r rifles, so those platforms will need a different trigger. For common calibers like 7.62×39 and 5.45×39 you're in good shape.
