Description
The GBRS Group Second Best Sling, or SBS, was built for folks who want a sling that carries the rifle comfortably without a bunch of dead weight and clanging metal. GBRS pulled out the bulky hardware most slings rely on and got the whole thing down to 2.7 oz, which is roughly half of what a lot of padded slings weigh. The result is a stripped-down setup that still handles a heavy carbine all day without digging into your neck. This bundle version takes the guesswork out of piecing parts together by including the swivels and adapter you need to mount it and run it your way.
Trimming the Second Best Sling to Fit You
The SBS features a long forward lead with 40 inches of travel plus a 20-inch adjustable tail, and both ends can be trimmed down to dial in the fit for your body and your rig. Adjustment happens through a single Tri-Glide and a four-inch pull tab that is easy to grab on the move. If you would rather run a thumb loop, the pull tab has two center bar tacks that can be removed to convert it over. That kind of tailoring is a big part of why people who have run slings from other brands for years end up switching.
Comfort Where the Second Best Sling Rides
The 16-inch minimalist neck pad uses closed cell crosslink padding, wrapped in a four-way stretch Tweave that slides smooth across your neck or over the back of your kit. Tapers at both ends of the pad cut down on snag points when you sling the carbine around to your back. It stays comfortable without turning stiff or bulky, which is the balance a lot of slings miss.
What Comes in the Second Best Sling Bundle
Alongside the sling you get two GrovTec D-Loop heavy duty push button QD swivels, each pull tested to 450 lbs, and a 2-to-1 point Triglide QD convertible adapter from Impact Weapons Components. That adapter lets you flip between a stable two-point carry and a nimble one-point setup on the fly. Made in the USA and finished in coyote brown, this bundle is ready to mount and go.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I really cut the GBRS Second Best Sling down to fit me?
Yes, that is one of the main design points. The 40-inch forward lead and 20-inch tail are both meant to be trimmed so you can dial in the length for your body and your rifle setup. Just take your time measuring before you cut, since you cannot add material back.
Does the Second Best Sling Bundle let me switch between two-point and one-point carry?
It does. The included 2-to-1 point Triglide QD adapter lets you convert from a stable two-point carry to a more maneuverable one-point setup quickly, then back again. A lot of users point to that quick swap as a favorite feature.
What makes the SBS so much lighter than other padded slings?
GBRS removed the large metal hardware you find on most slings, which drops the weight down to about 2.7 oz, roughly half of what many comparable padded slings weigh. You still get a comfortable neck pad, just without the extra bulk and metal parts clanging around.
Will the included QD swivels work with my existing mounts?
The bundle comes with two GrovTec D-Loop push button QD swivels that are compatible with standard industry QD sling mounts. Each swivel is pull tested to 450 lbs, so they hold up to serious use. They also pair well with hooks like the Magpul Paraclip if you go that route.
