The GBRS Group Second Best Sling, or SBS, is a minimalist two-point sling built by folks who spent years running slings in the real world and got tired of the extra weight and snag points. The name is a bit of a wink, but the design is dead serious. You get a long 40-inch forward lead and a 20-inch tail, both of which can be trimmed and melted at the ends to lock in a fit that matches your body and your gear. That means it works whether you're running a slick carbine on the flat range or a big frame loaded up with a plate carrier.
Most of the character here comes from what GBRS left out. There's no large metal hardware, which cuts weight down to around 2.7 ounces and kills the noise signature you'd normally get from buckles clacking against your rifle. The pull-to-tighten slider runs silky smooth, and it's a common note among owners that adjustments are quicker and easier than what they were using before. The 4-inch double fold pull tab is sized to fit a range of hand sizes, and if you'd rather run a thumb loop, you can pull the two center bar tacks and convert it.
The 16-inch neck pad is where the comfort lives.
