The heart of this design is the one-way snap on the back that fastens over your belt and keeps the carrier locked in place. It fits belts up to 1 3/4 inches wide, which covers just about every gun belt, EDC belt, and dress belt out there. There's also a tension unit adjustment built in, so you can tune how firmly the pouch grips your magazine. That's handy if you swap between different mags or want to break it in for a smoother draw over time.
This is a true ambidextrous carrier, meaning lefties and righties both get the same clean access with no separate model to hunt down. This SMC22 is set up for staggered .40 S&W double-stack magazines. Because the design shares a footprint with common 9mm and .357 Sig staggered mags, it can work across similar double-stack magazines too. The built-in tension screw lets you fine-tune the grip for the exact magazine you're carrying.
The SMC uses a wrap-around design with a one-way snap on the back and fits belts up to 1 3/4 inches wide. That range covers most gun belts, everyday carry belts, and standard dress belts. You slide the loop over your belt and snap it closed for a secure hold.
