Galco took the holster that made its name decades ago and brought it up to speed for the red dot era. The Combat Master 2.0 is a traditional pancake-style belt holster hand-molded from premium steerhide to fit the Springfield Echelon with the 4.5" slide. This is the right-hand, black version, cut to run whether you've got a carry optic mounted or you're sticking with iron sights.

What Sets the Combat Master 2.0 Apart

The big update here is the optic cutaway. The older Combat Master was strictly an iron-sight rig, but the 2.0 is relieved to clear most carry-style red dots, so you don't have to buy a new holster if you decide to top your Echelon with a dot later. That same cut also helps the pistol clear leather a touch faster, which makes a real difference on the draw, especially if you're shorter-waisted and tend to ride your gun higher.

Why the Echelon Rides Right in This Rig

Twin belt slots sit on either side of the holster in classic pancake fashion, and that layout pulls the grip in tight against your body so a full-size Echelon melts under a shirt or jacket. The slots handle belts up to 1 3/4" and spread the pistol's weight across your waistline, which keeps things comfortable through a long day of wear. A butt-forward cant tucks the grip out of sight and sets you up for a natural reach, while the raised sweat guard keeps the slide off your skin and your perspiration off the gun.
