The rod measures 1.74 inches long and fits Government-length 1911s with 5-inch barrels, working with standard round recoil springs you source separately. This G.I. style rod is designed specifically for 1911 Government models with 5-inch barrels. It works with standard round recoil springs. If you have a Commander (4.25-inch) or Officer's (3.5-inch) model, you'll need the shorter version. Check your barrel length before ordering.
