This Faxon FX7 barreled action takes the hardest part of a precision rifle build off your plate. It ships as a complete core: the 416-R stainless FX7 short action, the 4340 carbon steel bolt, and a 22-inch M24-profile barrel all assembled and headspaced in-house before it leaves Faxon. The receiver carries an integrated 20-MOA Picatinny rail and an integral recoil lug, so your optic setup and bedding are already sorted. The barrel is chambered in .308 Winchester with a 1:10 twist, 5R button rifling, honed and lapped, and finished with salt bath nitride and a recessed target crown. The 5/8×24 threaded muzzle leaves you ready for a brake or a can.
The M24 contour is the heavy profile borrowed from the military M24 sniper platform, which means extra barrel mass and thermal stability when you're stacking rounds on a bench or shooting long strings prone.
