It sizes the neck, shoulder, and body, sets your headspace, deprimes the case, and expands the neck inside diameter, all in a single stroke of the press. Forster builds these from high quality steel machined with one-piece reamers, and each die gets hand polished before and after heat treating for a smooth interior that treats your brass right.
The standout here is Forster's elevated E-Z Out expander ball. It sits higher up in the neck than most competing dies, which keeps the neck and case axis in line as the case is pulled back out. Yes, a lot of folks neck down 6.5×47 Lapua parent brass to make 6×47, and this die handles that job well. Reloaders report the case goes from 6.5 to 6mm with one clean pass through the die after a small adjustment. Just remember to lube properly and check case length afterward, since necking down can stretch the case.
The die ships complete with the E-Z Out expander ball and decapping pin already installed. You can pull it out of the box and set it up in your press right away. Forster also offers custom honing if you want to dial in neck tension for thicker brass.
