The standard FX-9 built a loyal following as one of the original dedicated 9mm AR carbines, and the FX9 Elite is what happens when Freedom Ordnance stops holding back on upgrades. Instead of base furniture, you get a B5 Systems Bravo stock and P-grip, rubber M-LOK rail covers, a Warhammer ambidextrous charging handle, and an angled foregrip already installed. The redesigned 13.5 inch M-LOK handguard mounts up with a BCM barrel nut and hardware, so it locks down solid and leaves plenty of real estate for lights, lasers, and hand placement.
The barrel setup is one of the smarter parts of this rifle. Freedom Ordnance pins and welds their Elite flash hider to the 14.5 inch barrel, which brings the total to a 16 inch overall length while keeping the package shorter and quicker handling than a typical carbine. You get a rifle that swings fast in tight spots without giving up the balance that makes a 9mm carbine so pleasant to run all afternoon.
Like the rest of the FX-9 family, the Elite runs a simple blowback action and feeds from double stack Glock pattern magazines, which means cheap, plentiful mags that you may already own. A 32 round magazine comes in the box, and the last round bolt hold open works just like an AR so your manual of arms carries straight over. Receivers are machined from billet aluminum with an anodized Flat Dark Earth finish, and the steel wear parts like the barrel, bolt, and extractor are nitride treated for corrosion resistance and long service life. It's all made in the USA and backed by Freedom Ordnance's limited lifetime warranty.
The flat top upper is optics ready, so drop on a red dot and this thing becomes a soft shooting, low cost trainer, a PCC match gun, or a home defense carbine that shares mags with your pistol. Cheap 9mm ammo, mild recoil, and AR controls make it one of those rifles that gets passed around the firing line because everybody wants a turn.
The FX9 Elite feeds from standard double stack Glock pattern 9mm magazines, and one 32-round mag ships with the rifle. That means factory Glock mags, Magpul GL9 mags, and most quality aftermarket options will run in it. Sticking with reputable mags gives you the most consistent feeding and reliable bolt hold open on the last round.

Quality factory ball ammo will keep this blowback action running smooth.
