This is a large-frame AR built with the details already handled. The 20 inch 4140 chrome-moly barrel wears a salt bath nitride treatment inside and out for corrosion resistance and long service life, and the 1:8 twist stabilizes the heavy, high-BC bullets that make this cartridge shine at long range. Up front, a Triumvir muzzle device caps a threaded crown, and the rifle-length direct impingement gas system keeps the recoil impulse smooth and predictable shot after shot.

Franklin Armory didn't stop at the barrel. The trigger comes custom tuned from the factory, which is a detail you notice the first time you press one off.
