The Franklin Armory BFSIII 22-EZ takes their well-known 22-C1 trigger and drops it into a polymer housing so you get everything pre-assembled in one unit. That means no fiddling with individual internals or hunting for tiny springs and pins on your bench. You pull the old trigger group out of your 10/22, drop this one in, and you're back to shooting in a matter of minutes. It's built to work in most Ruger 10/22 rifles, which covers a huge chunk of the rimfire world.
The heart of this thing is the three-position selector. Position one is Safe and won't fire. Position two is Semi, which behaves like any standard trigger, one round per pull. Position three is Binary, where you get one round on the pull and a second round on the release. Once you feel that rhythm click, doubling your rate of fire becomes second nature, and you'll burn through a brick of .22 faster than you'd expect.
Some folks worry about that release shot, but Franklin Armory built in a smart safeguard. If you decide you don't want the release round to go off, you just move the patented selector out of Binary mode while holding the trigger back and the shot is canceled. The release phase also has a positive reset, so the trigger feels consistent shot after shot rather than mushy or unpredictable.
This trigger has a wide audience. Competition shooters use it to shave time, plinkers love it for pure entertainment, and it's a legit tool for training on trigger control and follow-through. The curved trigger and black finish keep it looking and feeling like a factory-grade upgrade. Franklin Armory built in a cancel feature for exactly that. While holding the trigger to the rear, you move the patented selector out of Binary mode and the release shot is canceled. It gives you full control over whether that second round goes off.
This trigger pack is designed to work in most Ruger 10/22 firearms, which covers the vast majority of rifles built on that platform. It replaces the factory trigger group as a complete unit. If you have a heavily customized receiver, it's worth double-checking your setup before installing.
