Fortis set out to build a rail that was lighter and feature-rich without breaking the bank, and the REV II delivers exactly that. The short forward rail sections at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock from the REV I were dropped in favor of continuous M-LOK slots running nearly the full length, plus rotation-limited QD sling swivel sockets built right in. That means more room to hang lights, grips, bipods, sling points, and any other M-LOK gear exactly where you want it, and less weight overall.
The continuous 1913 mil-spec Picatinny top rail runs flush with your upper, giving you an uninterrupted surface for optics, backup irons, or night vision setups. Plenty of folks describe the way it looks and feels as close to a monolithic upper. It's slim in the hand, well-balanced, and the profile lends itself to a comfortable C-clamp grip for faster, more controlled shooting.
Installation uses a mounting collar that captures a standard AR-15 barrel nut, so you're not locked into a proprietary system. Anti-rotation tabs keep everything indexed and solid once it's torqued down. Keep in mind the barrel nut is not included, and it's worth using a dedicated barrel nut tool to get proper torque. The rail works with both direct impingement and piston operating systems, so it fits a wide range of setups.
