When you install a Precision Reflex Gen III forearm, there's one step you can't fake your way through: seating and tightening the locking collar that holds the handguard to the upper receiver. A strap wrench might limp you across the finish line, but the tool that's cut to actually fit that collar is this one. Precision Reflex machines it in steel and designs it specifically for their round Gen III handguard, so it grabs where it's supposed to and lets you snug things down without buggering up finishes or slipping mid-turn.
During a PRI forearm install, the collar goes on loose, the barrel nut gets torqued to spec, then you thread the handguard into the collar and lock it home. That last bit is where this wrench comes in. It gives you the leverage and the correct interface to tighten the forearm collar fully, which keeps the handguard from working loose down the road.
