The FN High Power is already a well-built pistol, and FN's factory magazine lives up to that standard. Made from heat-treated stainless steel with a flat black corrosion-resistant finish, the body is built to take abuse at the range and hold up over a long service life without the rusting or pitting you can see with lesser magazine construction.
Inside, a steel music wire spring drives a polymer anti-tilt follower that keeps each round properly aligned on its way into the chamber. That follower design matters more than people realize; when a follower tilts or rocks even slightly, you can end up with feeding hiccups that have nothing to do with the ammo or the gun. FN got this right from day one.
The removable polymer base pad adds drop-resistance when you slam a mag on a hard bench or drop it during a reload drill, and it comes off easily when you need to strip the magazine down for cleaning. No tools required. The flush-fit profile means the mag sits even with the bottom of the grip frame, which keeps the silhouette clean for carry and prevents snagging on a holster.
At 17 rounds, this is the full-capacity magazine the FN High Power was designed around. If you picked up your High Power and only got one or two mags in the box, grabbing a factory spare is the smart move. These are made to the exact tolerances FN uses for original equipment, so you're not guessing about fit or function.
This magazine is designed specifically for the modern FN High Power pistol introduced in 2022, not the classic Browning Hi-Power. The two pistols have different magazine dimensions and this one will not fit or function correctly in the older Browning. If you own the new FN High Power, this is the correct factory magazine for it.
The 17-round magazine is designed with a flush-fit profile, meaning the base pad sits even with the bottom of the grip frame. There is no extension hanging below the gun, which keeps the draw clean and reduces snagging. That full 17-round capacity all fits within the standard magazine length.
This is a genuine factory magazine made by FN America to the same specifications as the magazines that ship with the pistol. It is not an aftermarket or third-party product. Buying factory is always the safest bet when it comes to fit and feeding reliability.
The polymer base pad is removable without any tools, which makes disassembly quick and straightforward. Once the base pad is off, you can slide out the spring and follower for a thorough wipe-down. It goes back together just as easily, so routine magazine maintenance is not a hassle.

The FN High Power typically ships with two 17-round magazines. Whether you need additional magazines depends on how you use the pistol. For range sessions, having at least three or four magazines on hand makes practice more efficient, and a spare or two is a reasonable thing to keep around for any defensive-use firearm.
