It runs along the sides, front strap, and back strap, and it is aggressive enough to lock your hand in place without tearing up your palms during long range sessions. The triggerguard is deeply undercut to allow a higher grip, which translates to better muzzle control, and it is sized generously enough to work with gloves on.
A rear rail module is built into the frame for mounting lights or lasers, and the whole thing is compatible with standard G19 Gen 3 holsters right out of the box. No need to hunt down specialty holsters or adapters.
