The reinforced frame uses a single-gate mold to eliminate weak points, while the magazine catch spring has been strengthened for improved reliability. You get a dual mag release system with enhanced fencing, plus an ambidextrous manual safety positioned right where it should be for PDW-style operation.
The ergonomics are genuinely improved across the board. The grip top has been redesigned to give your fingers better access to both the mag release and safety levers, while the streamlined magwell makes reloading faster and more intuitive. The raised optic rail provides better compatibility with different sight platforms, and the slide channel has been optimized to work with adjustable iron sights. A slotted Picatinny rail runs along the bottom for mounting lights or other accessories, and the expanded suppressor cutout means you can run shorter barrels or compensators without fitting issues. The integrated magazine holder up front isn't a vertical grip but rather a spare mag carrier, and the quick-deploying brace locks into place with a simple lever.
Chassis only means you're providing your own P320 slide and fire control unit. The system works with full-size P320 slides across 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG platforms. If you're running a compact or subcompact slide, you'll need a threaded barrel, compensator, or suppressor to maintain safe hand placement. The Raider X doesn't work with P320 XTEN models, .45 ACP variants, 15-round magazines, or suppressor-height iron sights. If your P320 has an M17/18 manual safety, you'll need to remove it and swap in an inexpensive OEM pin. Some aftermarket triggers, particularly adjustable or forward-set models, may not work with the Raider X safety, so verify compatibility if you're running aftermarket internals.
