The Firefield Edge Carbine 2-Piece M-LOK Rail is the kind of upgrade that makes an old A2-style carbine feel new again without sending you down a gunsmithing rabbit hole. It's machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard-anodized matte black finish, so it shrugs off scrapes and stays low-reflective out on the range or in the field. At roughly 6 ounces and about 6.6 inches long, it keeps your carbine light and quick-handling while opening up a bunch of mounting real estate.
The top of the rail runs a full-length Picatinny section for optics, back-up sights, or a scout light up front, while the sides and bottom carry M-LOK slots for direct-attach accessories. Firefield includes a 7-slot rail piece so you can add a Picatinny section wherever you need it, whether that's a vertical grip, a light, or a laser. The rails accept most Picatinny, NATO, and Weaver-sized mounts, so most of the gear already in your range bag should bolt right up.
This is a true drop-in design built for carbine-length gas systems that use a standard delta ring and handguard cap. You seat the front of the top half into the handguard cap behind the front sight, pull the delta ring back, and snap the rear into place, then repeat with the bottom half. No barrel nut removal, no pulling the barrel, and no armorer's bench full of tools. A hex key comes in the box for setting up the included rail section.

For the most part, no. The two halves snap into the delta ring and handguard cap without pulling the barrel nut or barrel, and a hex key comes in the box for setting up the included rail section. A delta ring tool can make pulling the ring back easier, but plenty of folks get it done by hand.
