The Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics line has earned its reputation through real-world performance on clay courses across the country. These 2.75" shells pack 1 ounce of #7.5 lead shot designed to deliver the dense patterns and reliable target-breaking energy that clay shooters expect. At 1250 fps, they pattern consistently and cycle cleanly through most shotguns without the recoil punishment of heavier loads.
These shells use chilled lead shot paired with clean-burning powder and cushioned wads that balance economy with performance. You're getting factory-loaded ammunition loaded to strict specifications, which means you don't have the inconsistency you might run into with mixed lots of reloads. Users consistently report they break targets just fine at standard distances and function reliably through both pump and semi-auto shotguns. The value proposition is straightforward: they perform well enough to practice and compete without draining your budget box after box.
The #7.5 shot size pairs well with trap and sporting clays applications where you need a bit more pellet energy than you'd get from #8 or #9. The 1 ounce payload sits right in that sweet spot for singles and doubles, letting you practice your fundamentals or shoot registered events without overthinking your ammunition choice. If you're shooting 16-yard trap or varied presentations in sporting clays, these shells deliver the pattern density and energy to get the job done.
With 25 rounds per box, you can stock up economically and practice without watching every penny go downrange. Fiocchi manufactures these in both Italy and the United States, so you're getting ammunition from a company with serious production expertise and quality control standards. The non-corrosive primers and consistent loading mean your gun stays cleaner during longer range sessions than you might expect from ultra-budget loads.
Yes, they work well for standard 16-yard trap and practice. The #7.5 shot size carries good energy for reliable target breaks at typical trap distances. Real shooters report breaking targets consistently with these shells at registered events. They're positioned as economy loads rather than premium competition shells, so they're better suited for practice and casual competition than high-handicap yardage where tighter patterns matter more.
These 2.75" shells are compatible with any 12 gauge shotgun chambered for 2.75" shells, including pump shotguns, semi-automatics, and over-under doubles. They cycle cleanly through most common shotguns without feeding or ejection issues. Always verify your shotgun's chamber length before purchasing ammunition.
The #7.5 carries slightly more energy per pellet than #8 shot, making it preferred for longer-range trap presentations and sporting clays where targets might be faster or more distant. The #8 pattern is tighter at close distances and better suited for skeet. Most shooters choose #7.5 for trap and #8 for skeet, though either works across the disciplines.
Yes, Fiocchi shotgun shells use plastic hulls and standard components that make them suitable for handloading. The primers are non-corrosive and consistent, and reloaders appreciate the quality of Fiocchi hulls. Check that the hulls are in good condition before reloading.
