If you spend a lot of rounds at the trap or skeet range, you know how much ammunition choice matters. The Fiocchi Exacta International loads are engineered from the ground up for target shooting sports. Each shell is loaded with 24 grams of high-antimony magnum lead shot in #7.5 size, sized right for breaking clays at distance without the pellet energy loss you get with smaller shot.
At 1350 fps, these loads hit a sweet spot. Fast enough to reach distant targets cleanly, but dialed in to keep recoil manageable during extended shooting sessions. That matters when you're trying to maintain form and follow through across 100+ targets in a day. The construction combines quality hulls, sensitive primers, and clean-burning powders that work in harmony to deliver shot-to-shot consistency.
These shells are part of Fiocchi's 50-year tradition supporting competitive clay sports. You get the reliability that comes from Italian precision engineering paired with American manufacturing standards. High-antimony shot resists deformation better than softer lead, which means rounder pellets and tighter patterns. That's not a small detail when you're trying to read what went wrong on a missed target.
The specs aren't random. The 24-gram load and 7.5 shot align with ISSF international standards, making these shells legal for major competitions. Whether you're practicing for Olympic-style events or running casual rounds at your local club, you get ammunition designed for serious performance. Each box contains 25 rounds, with 10 boxes per case for high-volume practice.
These loads are designed specifically for trap and skeet shooting, where consistent patterns and manageable recoil are critical. The 24-gram #7.5 load meets international ISSF standards for Olympic-style trap and skeet competition.
Number 7.5 shot carries more energy per pellet than smaller sizes like #8 or #9, making it ideal for trap and longer-distance shooting where targets may be farther away. The larger pellets retain energy better over distance while still providing dense patterns for breaking clays reliably.
The 1350 fps velocity is generally sufficient for most semi-automatic shotguns, though individual firearms vary. For semi-autos, many shooters prefer loads at 1250 fps or higher to ensure reliable cycling.
Factory ammunition consistency directly impacts your ability to read missed targets and improve your scores. Variations in velocity or pellet distribution make it difficult to diagnose whether you missed due to technique or equipment problems. Fiocchi's quality control and uniform construction help remove that variable from your practice.
