Dove hunting is a game of constant adjustment. One minute birds are dropping right into your decoys, the next they're rocketing across the field at 40 yards. The #8 pellets bring the pellet count, filling out a dense, forgiving pattern that's built for fast, close-to-moderate shots where a wide margin of error helps. The larger #6 pellets carry more energy downrange, so when birds are working higher or hanging out at the edge of your range, you've still got what it takes to fold them cleanly.
