Description

Fierce built its name on high-end carbon barrel hunting rifles out of Utah, and the Twisted Rogue brings most of that DNA to a friendlier price point by swapping the carbon barrel for a deep spiral-fluted steel one. The fluting cuts serious weight from the match-grade #4 contour barrel, so this 24 inch 7mm PRC still comes in around 6 pounds bare. That is the kind of rifle you can pack up a ridge all day and not curse by the afternoon. The barrel is hand lapped with a match-grade stainless liner, and Fierce stands behind it with a .75 MOA accuracy guarantee.

What Makes the Twisted Rogue Tick

The heart of the rifle is the Fierce two-lug stainless action with a 70 degree bolt throw and a spiral-fluted bolt. The shorter throw keeps your knuckles clear of the scope and lets you cycle quickly for follow-ups. It is built on a Remington 700 footprint, so scope bases and aftermarket support are easy to come by, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped. A TriggerTech adjustable trigger handles the fire control with the crisp, clean break that brand is known for. Feeding runs through a 3+1 internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, which keeps the belly of the rifle slick for carrying.

Dressed for the Backcountry

This version wears a Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish over the barreled action with the Sonora camo carbon fiber Rogue stock. The stock uses an LR negative comb that helps manage recoil and keeps your eye behind the optic, plus an integral bipod rail up front and QD flush cup mounts for your sling. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with the NIX side-port self-timing brake installed, so you can run it as-is, spin on a suppressor, or add a thread protector.

Why the Twisted Rogue in 7mm PRC Makes Sense

The 7mm PRC is one of the best all-around western hunting cartridges going right now, with high BC bullets that buck wind and hit hard way out there. The 24 inch tube with a 1:8 twist wrings full velocity out of those heavy 7mm bullets. Put a good scope on it and this is a legit elk, mule deer, and antelope rig that doubles as a long-range steel gun.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Fierce Twisted Rogue come with a muzzle brake, and can I run a suppressor?

Yes, it ships with the NIX side-port self-timing brake already on the muzzle. The barrel is threaded 5/8×24, which is the most common thread pattern for 30 caliber and smaller suppressors, so most cans will spin right on once you remove the brake.

Will Remington 700 scope bases and accessories fit the Twisted Rogue?

They will. The action is built on a Remington 700 footprint and the receiver comes drilled and tapped, so standard 700 long action bases and rings are a straightforward fit. That 700 pattern also means broad aftermarket support down the road if you ever want to swap stocks.

How accurate is the Twisted Rogue compared to the Carbon Rogue?

Both carry the same Fierce .75 MOA accuracy guarantee. The Twisted Rogue uses a deep spiral-fluted steel barrel instead of a carbon-wrapped one, but it is hand lapped and match grade just the same. Independent range testing of this platform has produced sub MOA groups with quality factory ammo, and PRC chamberings tend to be very consistent shooters.

Is this rifle light enough for backcountry hunting in 7mm PRC?

That is exactly what it was built for. The deep spiral fluting strips weight from the steel barrel and the carbon fiber Rogue stock keeps the whole rifle in the low 6 pound range bare. Add a scope and sling and you are still packing a very manageable rig for elk country, and the included NIX brake takes the sting out of the 7mm PRC on the shooting end.
