Fierce built the Reaper H-Tac for the hunter who wants a legit precision chassis rifle that doesn't punish you on the pack in. The heart of it is a folding aluminum chassis wrapped in carbon fiber from Fierce's own carbon shop, including the buttstock, forearm, and pistol grip. The stock folds and locks with a push button, so a rifle wearing a 24 inch barrel suddenly rides a lot shorter on your pack. Bare weight comes in around 6.1 pounds, which is remarkable for a full chassis gun with this much adjustability.
The 7mm Backcountry chambering is a smart match for this platform. Federal's high pressure case design pushes heavy 7mm bullets at speeds that used to require a much longer tube, and with the full 24 inch barrel here you're getting everything the cartridge has to offer. The 1:8 twist stabilizes the long, high BC bullets the cartridge was built around, and the 5/8×24 threaded muzzle means adding a suppressor or swapping brakes is simple. Fierce backs the match grade, hand lapped C3 carbon fiber barrel with a half MOA guarantee at 100 yards using quality factory ammo.
The action is a 700 pattern, two lug stainless design with a 70 degree bolt throw and a spiral fluted bolt that cycles smooth and fast. Feeding runs through a detachable box magazine holding three rounds, giving you 3+1 on tap. You also get an M-LOK compatible carbon forearm, an adjustable cheek piece to get your eye behind bigger optics, an integral rail up front for a bipod, and a drilled and tapped receiver so mounting glass is straightforward. The adjustable trigger breaks clean and can be tuned to your preference.
The Tungsten Cerakote metalwork looks sharp against the carbon fiber and shrugs off weather and pack wear. If your seasons involve long hikes, long shots, or both, this is one of the few rifles that genuinely handles each side of that job without compromise.
Yes. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24, which is the standard thread pitch for most 30 caliber and 7mm rated suppressors and muzzle devices. It ships with a NIX muzzle brake installed, so you can run the brake or spin it off and mount your can directly.
7mm Backcountry uses a high pressure steel alloy case that generates noticeably more velocity than traditional brass cartridges, which means flatter trajectories and more retained energy at distance. With the full 24 inch barrel on this H-Tac, you are getting the cartridge's top end performance. The 1:8 twist handles the heavy, high BC bullets the round was designed for.
It does. The carbon fiber stock folds and locks against the aluminum chassis with a push button quick lock system, which trims a lot of length for strapping the rifle to a pack. It locks up solid in both positions, so there is no wobble when it is deployed and shouldered.
Fierce guarantees half MOA three shot groups at 100 yards with quality factory ammunition or their Dirt Nap custom loads. The match grade, hand lapped C3 carbon barrel and rigid chassis bedding are what make that possible in a rifle this light. Feed it good ammo and it will hold up its end.
