The heart of the rifle is the Fierce Triad three-lug action with a fast 70 degree bolt throw, which keeps your knuckles clear of the scope and cycles quick when a follow-up matters. The 22 inch C3 carbon fiber barrel wraps a match grade, hand-lapped, stress-relieved liner and wears a durable Matrix finish. It comes threaded with a stainless radial muzzle brake installed, so recoil on this featherweight stays very manageable. A TriggerTech match grade adjustable trigger breaks clean and lets you dial the pull to your liking, and the three-position safety allows you to work the bolt and unload with the safety still engaged.
The Rage LR carbon fiber stock is where this rifle separates itself from the standard Carbon Rage. You get a push-button adjustable comb for a proper cheek weld behind big long-range glass, a more aggressive vertical grip, an integral Picatinny rail up front for a bipod, and a mounting platform for the included Swiss-Arca plate if you shoot off a tripod. Rounds feed from a detachable drop-box magazine holding three, plus one in the chamber.

Yes. One of the perks of the .280 Ackley Improved chamber is that it will safely fire standard .280 Remington factory ammunition, with the fired brass forming to the improved case. That said, you'll get the full velocity advantage of the cartridge by shooting factory .280 AI loads or handloads, and accuracy is typically best with true AI ammo.
The core features are the same: Rage LR adjustable comb stock, carbon fiber match barrel, TriggerTech trigger, and drop-box magazine. The CT Rage LR upgrades to a titanium Triad action to shave a bit more weight, while this Carbon Rage LR uses the proven steel Triad action. The steel version saves you some money and still comes in at a very packable weight.
It is. The 22 inch carbon fiber barrel comes threaded from the factory with a stainless radial muzzle brake installed. Spin the brake off and you can mount a suppressor or another muzzle device of your choice.
