Description

The GL07 is Fenix's answer to the problem every concealed carrier runs into eventually: you want real light output on your pistol without turning it into a brick. At 2.61 inches long and roughly 2.6 ounces, this thing disappears into a holster better than most lights half its claimed brightness. It puts out 700 lumens on the included rechargeable battery, throwing a beam out to 787 feet, which is plenty for identifying a threat across a room or down a hallway before you ever need to pull the trigger.

GL07 Mounting and Rail Compatibility

What sets the GL07 apart from a lot of compact weapon lights is how it attaches. It uses a quick-release rail system with two interchangeable plates in the box, one cut for standard Picatinny 1913 rails and one for Glock universal rails. That means the same light works across a full-size duty pistol and a micro-compact like a Hellcat without buying a second unit. The rail also slides to fine-tune position so the light clears your holster and doesn't interfere with the trigger guard.

Power Behind the GL07's Beam

Fenix built the GL07 around a Luminus SFT12R LED rated for roughly 50,000 hours of service life, paired with a rechargeable 16340 battery that charges over USB-C in about two hours. Run it wide open and you get an hour of runtime at full 700-lumen output, or drop in a CR123A battery for a lower 180-lumen setting that stretches runtime out past five hours. Having that battery flexibility is a nice safety net if you're somewhere without a charger.

Built to Handle Real Use

The housing is Type III hard-anodized aluminum, so it shrugs off the scrapes and drops that come with actually carrying and training with a light instead of just admiring it in a case. It carries an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning rain, sweat, and the occasional dunk aren't going to take it out of service. Controls are handled by dual ambidextrous tail switches, giving you momentary, constant-on, and strobe with either hand, which matters when your support hand isn't always free.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Fenix GL07 fit my pistol?

The GL07 ships with two rail plates, one for standard Picatinny 1913 rails and one for Glock universal rails, so it covers most modern pistols with an accessory rail. The sliding mount also lets you adjust position to clear the holster on smaller frames like a Hellcat. If your pistol doesn't have a rail at all, you'll need a different mounting solution since this light is rail-specific.

How long does the battery last on the GL07?

On the included rechargeable battery at full 700-lumen output, expect around an hour of continuous runtime. Swap in a CR123A battery and output drops to 180 lumens but runtime stretches to roughly five and a half hours. Charging the rechargeable battery from empty takes about two hours over USB-C.

Is the Fenix GL07 waterproof?

Yes, the GL07 carries an IP67 rating, which covers protection against dust and temporary submersion in water. It's built to handle rain, mud, and general rough weather without an issue. Just don't treat it like a dive light for extended underwater use.

Can I switch the light on and off with either hand?

Yes, the GL07 uses dual ambidextrous tail switches so you get full control whether you're running the pistol right or left handed. You can select momentary-on for quick bursts, constant-on for sustained light, or strobe for a disorienting flash pattern. Both switches operate independently, so there's no fumbling to find the right button under stress.
