The Faxon Match Series 16" 6.5 Grendel Gunner Complete Upper takes the standard AR-15 footprint and stretches its useful range way past what 5.56 can do. The 6.5 Grendel gives you high-BC bullets, strong energy retention out past 600 yards, and noticeably mild recoil, which is why it has become such a favorite for deer hunters, varmint guys, and folks who like ringing steel at distance. This one shows up fully assembled with the parts you'd want anyway, so there's no chasing down a BCG and charging handle after the fact.
At the core is Faxon's Gunner profile barrel, button-rifled in-house in Cincinnati from 416R stainless with 5R rifling and a 1:8 twist that handles the popular 90 to 123 grain loads with ease. The Gunner contour splits the difference between a Government profile and a Pencil, so you get respectable stiffness for accuracy without hauling around dead weight up front. A mid-length gas system paired with Faxon's patented adjustable .750" low-profile gas block lets you dial the cycling in for how you actually run the gun, suppressed or bare.
The muzzle wears Faxon's MuzzLok Plan B flash hider, threaded 5/8×24 with a .375" bore. It knocks down flash, times up without shims, and gives you direct HUB-mount suppressor compatibility if you want to run a can down the road. Rounding things out is a Streamline 15" M-LOK handguard for plenty of real estate, a superfinished 6.5 Grendel/ARC Type 2 bolt carrier group, and the Breek Sledgehammer gas-blocking charging handle.
This upper drops right onto any mil-spec AR-15 lower. Keep in mind 6.5 Grendel runs its own Type 2 magazines and bolt, both of which are sorted here, so once you mate it to a lower you're set for hunting rigs, DMR-style builds, and practical precision work.

It's a complete upper group. Faxon ships it with the superfinished 6.5 Grendel/ARC Type 2 BCG and the Breek Sledgehammer charging handle already included. Bolt it to your lower and you have a working rifle, no extra parts hunt required.
The 1:8 twist stabilizes the common 6.5 Grendel loads in the roughly 90 to 123 grain range. It does especially well with high-BC options like 123 grain ELD-M and similar match and hunting projectiles for reaching out to distance.
It's built for it. The MuzzLok Plan B flash hider is threaded 5/8×24 with direct HUB-mount suppressor compatibility, and the adjustable gas block lets you tune the cycling for suppressed or unsuppressed use. That combination helps keep point-of-impact shift to a minimum when you swap cans.
