It's cut from 416-R stainless steel bar stock at Faxon's Cincinnati facility, given 6-groove rifling with a 1:16 twist, and finished with a recessed target crown to protect the rifling where it matters most. The salt bath nitride coating adds surface hardness and shrugs off corrosion, and because the profile runs thinner than a factory tube, it free-floats nicely in most stocks. Every barrel gets magnetic particle inspected before it ships, which is the kind of quality check you usually only see on higher-end centerfire barrels.
