Faxon machines these barrels 100% in-house in Greater Cincinnati from gun-barrel-quality bar stock, and every one is stress relieved, air-gauge tested for bore uniformity, magnetic particle inspected, and headspaced with precision gauges. The whole barrel gets a salt bath nitride (QPQ) treatment inside and out, which locks in the bore, boosts corrosion resistance, and stretches service life. The barrel extension wears a Nickel Teflon coating that adds dry lubricity and tightens up the fit between the extension and receiver, which helps accuracy where it counts.
