The head pans 60 degrees and tilts 20 degrees, so you can level the rifle on uneven ground and track between targets without picking the legs up and resetting. What sets this one apart from a lot of polymer-legged bipods is the hybrid build. It combines hardened steel, 6061 T-6 aluminum, and a dense high-performance polymer composite, and the inner legs are rectangular steel rather than round. That shape adds real rigidity where it counts, and folks who've handled it often mistake the polymer for metal because there's no flex or give to it.
The legs lock at four positions: 0, 45, 90, and 135 degrees. That 45-degree forward rake tends to give you noticeably more stability than a straight vertical setup. This model attaches to any standard Picatinny (1913) rail on the underside of your handguard or forend. It clamps on directly with no adapter needed. If your rifle uses M-LOK instead, FAB Defense makes a separate M-LOK version of the Spike.
The rotating head gives you 60 degrees of pan and 20 degrees of tilt, which lets you track targets and level the rifle on uneven ground.
