The FAB Defense GLR-16 CP is a fixed-position tactical stock built for AR-15, M16, and M4 rifles that runs a standard carbine buffer tube. What sets it apart from a basic collapsible stock is the raised, adjustable cheek rest paired with a patented anti-rattle system. If you have ever thrown a stock on a buffer tube only to feel it clunk around, this design closes the gaps and applies constant pressure so the whole thing feels like part of the rifle. It's molded from fiberglass reinforced polymer composite, which keeps the weight down around 13 ounces while holding up to hard use.
The adjustable cheek rest is the headline here. Raise it up and you get consistent cheek weld behind an optic or magnified scope, which is exactly what your neck wants when you're running a taller sight line on an AR. That extra bit of comb height translates directly to faster, more repeatable sight alignment shot after shot. The non-slip rubber butt pad rounds it out with a grippy shoulder pocket that stays put when you mount up quick.
This stock carries three integrated sling slots, one at the front and two at the rear, plus a pair of ambidextrous metal quick-release rear mount points. That gives lefties and righties alike plenty of ways to rig a two-point or single-point setup without adding hardware. Tucked inside is a sealed, water-resistant storage compartment sized for two CR123 or AA batteries, and it uses the same anti-rattle rubber fixation so your spares don't clank around while you move.
Bottom line, the GLR-16 CP is a smart pick if you want a solid, no-wobble stock with a real cheek riser and useful storage baked in, all from a company that builds gear for Israeli military and police units.
Yes. The patented anti-rattle mechanism applies constant pressure around the buffer tube, which lets it seat tightly on both mil-spec and commercial aftermarket tubes. That means no wobble and no rattle regardless of which tube your rifle already runs.
It is. You can raise or lower the comb to dial in a consistent cheek weld, which is especially handy when you're running a red dot on a riser or a magnified optic. A higher comb gives you repeatable sight alignment without craning your neck.
Definitely. It has three integrated sling slots, one in front and two at the rear, along with two ambidextrous metal quick-release rear mount points. That covers two-point and single-point sling setups for both left and right handed shooters.
The sealed compartment is sized for two CR123 or AA batteries, so it's a great spot to stash spare power for your optic or light. It's water-resistant and uses a rubber fixation to keep the contents from rattling around while you move.
