Built by Fabbrica Armi Isidoro Rizzini in Italy's Gardone Val Trompia, the gun world's most famous zip code, this over/under pairs a 30 inch vent-rib barrel set with a receiver machined from solid steel billet. The black receiver wears tasteful gold inlay that gives it a sporting look without going overboard, and the oil-finished walnut warms the whole package up nicely.
The barrels feature F.A.I.R.'s X-CONES extended forcing cones, which do two jobs at once: they smooth the shot column's transition for faster, more uniform patterns at medium and long range, and they knock down felt recoil in the process. Add the 3 inch magnum chambers and you've got flexibility to run everything from featherweight target loads to heavier field ammo. Chokes are handled by the Technichoke XP70 system, with five interchangeable tubes included so you can dial in constrictions for skeet stations or long crossers. A single selective trigger and automatic ejectors keep things quick between pairs.
