Anybody who's wrapped their hand around a skinny milspec grip knows the feeling of wanting more to hold onto. The Ergo TACT DLX solves that. It's a larger, more rounded grip than the original Ergo, built with an overmolded SureGrip surface and a heavy, aggressive texture that keeps your hand locked in whether you're dry, sweaty, or working through wet weather. The Flat Dark Earth finish gives it a subdued look that blends right in on a hunting build or a duty gun.
The big draw here is the ambidextrous palm swell. It fills out both sides so lefties and righties get the same fuller, hand-filling feel, and it does a great job planting your trigger finger in a consistent spot pull after pull. Folks with medium to large hands tend to love it most, though plenty of medium-handed users get along with it just fine. The SureGrip rubber is virtually impervious to oils and solvents, so cleaning bench spills won't chew it up.
That flattened top isn't just for looks. It's shaped to drop onto chassis-system stocks made for AR-15 type grips, which makes the TACT DLX a favorite on precision bolt-gun builds as much as it is on ARs. On a standard AR-15 receiver, the top mates up cleanly, though the back of the grip won't sit perfectly flush against the rear of the lower. That's normal for this design and doesn't affect how solid it feels in the hand.
Installation is straightforward with a single grip screw, and Ergo includes a hardware pack to get you going. One thing worth knowing up front: this grip does not ship with a bottom plug, so if you want to seal off the storage cavity you'll want to grab a TDX plug separately. The A2-sized inner cavity is handy for stashing small essentials once you do.

The Tactical Deluxe is a larger, more rounded grip that fits medium to large hands best. Plenty of medium-handed users find it comfortable, but if you have particularly small hands the fuller palm swell may feel like a lot of grip. If you want something slimmer, the standard Ergo grip is a better match.
The top mates up cleanly, but the back of the grip does not lay perfectly flush against the rear of the receiver on a standard AR-15. That's just how this design is shaped and it doesn't affect how secure or comfortable the grip feels once installed.
