The ERGO SUREGRIP Aggressive Texture grip is one of those upgrades you feel the second you wrap your hand around it. Instead of the hard, slick polymer that ships on most AR-15 and AR-10 rifles, you get a soft overmolded rubber surface with an aggressive texture pattern that bites back a little. That means a more locked-in hold whether your hands are wet, sweaty, or buried in gloves. This is the original grip designed by Steve Hines, and decades in, it's still the benchmark a lot of folks measure comfort and control against.
The shape is the real story here. Ergonomically correct finger grooves guide your hand to the same spot every time, and an integrated rear upper extension fills the web of your hand for better support and recoil management. The overmolded rubber is virtually impervious to oils and solvents, so all the gun cleaner and CLP that ends up on your grip won't break it down. It runs a touch thinner than a Magpul or BCM grip, which a lot of people with medium to large hands find more comfortable, not less.
This is a genuine drop-in job. The grip uses your existing grip screw and hardware, so there's no special tooling and nothing exotic to source. It also ships with ERGO's patented Gapper, the little plug that fills the gap behind the trigger guard and rounds out the feel of the whole assembly. One thing worth knowing: the Gapper is designed for standard AR lowers, and it may not seat cleanly on some 80 percent polymer lowers, so keep that in mind if you're building on one.
The Dark Earth finish gives it a warm flat tan tone that plays nicely with FDE furniture, two-tone builds, and just about any duty or range setup. It fits AR-15 type firearms in both .223 and .308, so one grip covers most of what's in the safe.

The Aggressive Texture (AT) version adds a more pronounced texture pattern for extra traction, which really shines when your hands are wet, sweaty, or gloved up.
