718 Inconel is a nickel-based superalloy that shrugs off extreme heat and erosion far better than stainless steel or titanium, which is why it shows up in jet engines and hard-use military cans. Printing the EOS-556 from it allows internal geometry that traditional machining can't produce while keeping durability at the top of the class. It's a big part of why this can passed the SOCOM stress test.
It was designed around exactly that concern. The EOS-556 uses a low back pressure design tuned for 5.56 gas-operated rifles, which cuts down on the gas and fumes pushed back toward your face and reduces added wear on the bolt carrier group. Your rifle should run much closer to its unsuppressed behavior than it would with a traditional tight baffle stack.
The suppressor itself weighs 12.5 ounces, which is light for an Inconel can. Combined with its short K-length profile, it keeps added length and leverage at the muzzle to a minimum. On a typical carbine you'll notice far less swing weight than you would with a full-size suppressor.
