The Ferox is Energetic Armament's answer to a question a lot of AR owners have been asking: why do so many 5.56 cans dump gas back into your face? Instead of a traditional baffle stack, the Ferox uses radial gas bleed-off chambers that vent pressure more efficiently, cutting backpressure without giving up sound reduction. The result is a can that runs cleaner at the shooter's ear and nose, keeps your rifle running smoother, and still delivers the low, even tone you want out of a quality suppressor.
At 12.5 ounces and 5.9 inches long with a 1.63 inch diameter, the Ferox stays out of the way on a carbine. The whole thing is machined from 17-4 stainless steel heat treated to the H900 condition, which is why it carries a full-auto rating and holds up to hard use on short-barreled rifles where heat and pressure punish lesser cans. Thinner walls also shed heat faster, converting muzzle gas energy into heat instead of noise. The Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish looks right at home on a duty or hunting build.
Out of the box you get a removable 1/2×28 direct thread adapter that screws straight onto most AR-15 muzzles. Since the rear of the can uses the industry standard 1.375×24 HUB pattern, you can swap in Bravo-style quick-disconnect mounts or just about any other HUB-compatible hardware down the road. That flexibility means the Ferox can move between rifles as your collection grows.
Flash mitigation was baked into this design from day one, not tacked on later. The removable front cap features functional flash-reducing tines, a genuinely useful feature on 5.56 guns where muzzle flash can be a real distraction in low light.
