Most modern rifle suppressors ship with a .30 caliber bore so they can run across multiple hosts, and Energetic Armament's VOX and ARX cans are no exception. That works fine, but if your suppressor lives on a 5.56 rifle, you're leaving performance on the table with all that extra aperture up front. The EA38 end cap fixes that. It threads onto the front of the VOX-S, VOX-K, and ARX series silencers, tightening the bore down to a proper 5.56mm opening while adding flash-hiding prongs that noticeably cut down your muzzle signature, especially in low light.
Energetic Armament machines this cap from American-made 17-4PH stainless steel and coats it in black nitride, so it shrugs off heat, carbon, and rough handling the same way the rest of the can does. At right around 0.93 ounces, it's not adding meaningful weight to the front of your rifle either. The tighter aperture can squeeze a bit more sound reduction out of the suppressor too, since less gas escapes around the projectile at the exit. Between the caliber-matched bore and the flash-hiding geometry, this is one of those small parts that makes a real difference you can see on the range at dusk.
Swapping caps is simple. The front end comes off with the same wrench setup used on Energetic Armament silencers, and the EA38 spins on in its place. A dab of anti-seize on the threads before installation is good practice on any suppressor part that sees heat, and it makes future removal painless. One thing worth knowing: this cap does not have a provision for wipes, which is by design since wipes generally aren't recommended for supersonic 5.56 use anyway. If you run a VOX or ARX on an AR-15 or similar 5.56 host, this is the front end it should have worn from day one.
The EA38 is made for Energetic Armament's VOX and ARX series silencers, including the VOX-S and VOX-K models. It replaces the standard front cap that ships on those cans. It is not a universal part, so it won't thread onto suppressors from other manufacturers.
